The Jobos Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (JBNERR) belongs to the National Estuarine Research Reserve System (NERRS), which is dedicated to promoting research and education through experiences of direct contact with our estuaries. The Reserve Education program requires giving the workshops to the Jobos Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (JBNERR), which belongs to the National Estuarine Research Reserve System (NERRS). dedicated to promoting research and education through direct contact experiences with our estuaries. JBNERR invites teachers to obtain the Bahía de Jobos Certification. As part of the programmatic requirements for Reserves with NERRS, the Reserve Education Program is required to deliver the workshops to teachers as part of the “Teachers on the Estuary (TOTE)” program. The workshops will be facilitated to teachers and educators as training and professional development tools where they will be introduced to the NOAA/NERRS “Estuaries 101” curriculum and JBNERR curricular activities.
Requirements:
-Be a teacher of a public or private academic institution; It does not have to be from the discipline of science, it can be from any subject.
-Commitment to attend all workshops.
